Hi, guys!!! Another week, another Filipino recipe. I hope you will keep on visiting and not getting bored sharing Filipino foods. But if you a a little bored, I have some non Filipino recipes that are really easy to prepare, and very affordable too. BUUUUT, let's talk about this FILIPINO BEEF TAPA. Tapa is a marinated and cured thinly slice beef famous in PI. We usually eat it for breakfast, served with fried egg and fried rice. This is really delicious and easy to prepare too. If you watch the video below, you can easily make it and you can make a whole batch of Beef Tapa to wade you through hungry early mornings.

As you can see in the video below, I had 2 lbs of meat prepared, and I just separated them to be frozen for the next use. Enjoy it and let me know what you think.

FILIPINO BEEF TAPA

Ingredients
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 lbs lean beef
Instructions
  1. Slice beef into very thin slices and put into a large zip lock
  2. In a small bowl mix the rest of the ingredients and add into the beef. Make sure to coat the meat with the sauce and marinate overnight, or let it sit for 4 hours before cooking.
  3. YOU CAN FREEZE IT TOO.
  4. When ready to cook, just fry in a small amount of cooking oil and serve with egg and fried rice.
Notes
I PURPOSELY DID NOT ADD VINEGAR IN THE MARINADE,AS I LIKE THE TASTE OF THE MEAT BETTER, AND YOU CAN GO TO 2.5 LBS OF MEAT USING THE MARINADE.
