I got excited today, because it looks like we are in for a little snow. Then, nature rained on my parade and added in too much wind and it got sooooo cold here in the south side of Kansas, that even with three layers of thick jackets, getting outside is just not an option. Grrrrr! So cold.
The plan today was to do my grocery shopping for the week but with this biting weather, it is just not possible. Therefore, I have to make do on whatever is in the freezer. Good thing there are some forgotten ingredients here that are screaming to be used used up. Mother nature indeed has her natural way of forcing me to de - clutter my freezer and vegetable pantry. Vegetable Frozen and Pork Tender Loin Recipe
Hi! Pork tenderloin and frozen veggies, how are you? Did you miss me? I am going to use you today. Sorry, I had forgotten you. I am thinking of making you guys into a delicious soup. And not just any soup but a really good soup . You are welcome.
Soup Recipe for this cold winter days here in the Midwest
Here it is guys, it is similar to stone soup where everything just gets in there but the village still enjoyed it. I hope you will too.
- 1 can 10 oz cream of mushroom soup
- 1 package 16 oz frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 can 15 oz chicken broth
- 3 small potatoes ( sliced into bite sized pieces)
- 1/2 cup onion sliced into small pieces
- 1 pound Lean Pork Tendeloin ( slice into 1 inch cube)
- salt to taste
- Prepare your slow cooker and arrange the ingredients in this order.
- Frozen Veggies
- Pour in the chicken broth
- Slow cook for 8 hours
- Add in the cream of mushroom soup and mix and add salt to taste if desired.
