Post Work Out Nutty Shake is the phrase of the day and why not? It is a kind of smoothie that is very filling, it will last you until lunch. It has only five ingredients and I just like Avocado Banana Smoothie I posted, it has Almond lite Milk it to make it completely vegan. My daughter and I have been drinking this shake/smoothie for breakfast and after work out.It is also a better option from buying “some” drinks in the store. You are assured you got a healthy drink because you know the ingredients and you’ll also feel great because you made it yourself.
The 5 Ingredients of this health powerhouse are: banana,strawberry,spinach, almond and milk. I put the ingredients in the bullet and grind until smooth. I used frozen bananas with this. I just slice 1 banana the night before, put it in a zip loc and let it freeze overnight. The frozen banana is sweeter and I like the coolness it brings to the overall taste of the smoothie. I also like the smell of the finished product if I use frozen banana, so I choose to freeze it. Although it is optional to do so, I highly recommend it.
AND, DON’T MIND THE COLOR OF THIS…This smoothie is really delicious in spite of its look. And I did not add sugar nor honey in this because I thought the fruits were sweet enough to give it a sweet flavor. There is a ground texture from the almond too. The pomegranate is optional. I just added it for looks but it does hurt to add it in there.

Post Work Out Nutty Smoothie
- 5 strawberries
- 1/2 of frozen banana
- 1 handful of almond around 1/4 cup
- 1/2 handful of spinach
- 3/4 to 1 cup of Silk Almond Lite Milk
- Place all of the ingredients in your blender or your bullet and blend of the ingredients until smoothie is very smooth.
