Vegan-2 Ingredient Strawberry Smoothie… smoothie, A.G.A.I.N???? You might be thinking that this is turning into a smoothie blog. It is just that this is my situation now… I am just drinking a lot of smoothie lately and I cannot help but share it because it is so simple to make and it is a very healthy refreshment. To be honest, I was debating whether I will share this or not because this smoothie is utterly simple to be even be called a recipe. This smoothie consists of only two ingredients and it is ready in less than 10 minutes. But then, isn’t it the purpose of a food blog? Sharing a simple, delicious consumables and in this case, healthy? So here we go.
See the photo above? That is how a real smoothie from real fruit should look like. It screams citrus taste and you can just imagine your doctor nodding with approval right now. This smoothie is on the sour side, so it liven and energizes you up to tackle the day. That smoothie right there was from the cold water and the frozen strawberry and banana. And it is in its original flavor. No milk nor sugar added.
My daughter and I have consumed this smoothie everyday for the past few days. In fact, I just came from a 30 minute run and I got so hungry and I quickly made this. Aside from the Vegan- 4 Ingredient Avocado Smoothie Banana Smoothie, this is a new fad in the house. I make this before my daughter goes to school and she drinks this on her way to school. I skipped the milk on this one to make it more like a diet drink. I added sugar for hers and I went sugar-free on mine. Of course, sweet is better, so sometimes I add a very small amount of corn syrup in mine if I want a more pick me up feeling. This has the simple taste of banana and strawberry taste in it. Enjoy it will yah, and brace for more smoothie recipe to come throughout January.
