Prawn Bhuna

Equipment

Ingredients

Spices

  • 1/4 tsp Gochugaru
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/8 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Yellow curry
  • 5.3 oz Greek Yogurt plain
  • 2 medium tomatoes chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 lbs jumbo shrimp shelled
  • 1 bunch Cilantro

Instructions

  • Place the prawn in a large bowl and add the spice and the Greek yogurt. Marinate the prawn for an hour, but ideally, do it overnight.
  • Heat oil on medium-high heat and sautee the onions until it has black char on them. Please see photo above.
  • Add the garlic and tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are tender about two more minutes.
  • Add the prawns and gently mix with the spices. Cover with the lid and cook for five more minutes or until the prawn has changed color.
  • Add the cilantro and season with salt and pepper if needed. Remove from the heat and serve.
