Chinese Style Steamed Whole Fish Tilapia with Cilantro, green onions

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pink Tilapia
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper

SAUCE

  • 1/8 cup soy sauce
  • 1/8 cup Roasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 inch ginger Julianne
  • 1 bunch cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup .green onion
  •  

Instructions

  • Fill the steamer with 20 cups of water and let boil.
  • Clean the Tilapia and rub salt and pepper around it. Fill the opening with tomato and wrap the fish with foil.
  • Steam the Tilapia for 45 minutes and remove from the steamer.

Sauce

  • When the Tilapia's ready, heat the sesame oil in the pan and brown the ginger. Add the soy sauce and let it simmer on high heat for two minutes.
  • Arrange the green onion and cilantro on the fish and pour the prepared sauce.
  • This meal is based mainly on how you prefer the taste to be, so feel free to add more of the ingredients according to your liking.
