Filipino Style Pork Barbecue

Filipino Style Pork Barbecue is marinated with homemade Filipino Barbecue Sauce which was made with ketchup, sprite, sugar, soy sauce and spices. It's marinated overnight, to achieve that Filipino flavor inside the meat.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb pork shoulder or pork belly thinly slice into bite sized pieced
  • Filipino BBQ Sauce please see notes for the link
  • Filipino Baste

Basting Mixture:

    Instructions

    • Submerge barbecue skewer in the water overnight and then pat dry excess water when they are ready to use.
    • Marinate the sliced meat in the Filipino style sauce overnight.
    • Stitch meat into the skewers and preheat the griller.
    • Grill the meat until cook through and baste mixture.

    Cook in the Instant Pot Air Fryer Duo

    • Follow the instructions above. Line the skewered meat into the trivet. Please check the Instant Pot Vietnamese Skewered Pork on the notes
    • Place the inner pot in the Instant Pot base. Put the trivet in place and put three pieces of skewers on it. I can only cook three skewers in my 8 quart instant pot, so I freeze the leftover meat for future use.
    • Cover with the air fryer lid and push the bake setting button. Set the temperature to 390 F and set the timer to twelve minutes.

    • Follow the instruction above.
    • Mount the air fryer basket into the base when the meat is ready. Push the Air fryer button setting, set the temperature to 400 F, and set the timer to twelve minutes. The instant Pot will start preheating for a few minutes.
    • When ready, the machine will prompt you to add the food. You can now arrange the skewered meat into the air fryer basket and push the air fryer start button.
