Put oven rack in the middle. Preheat oven to 350 F. Generously grease the 8x8 pan and set aside.
Melt butter in the microwave and pour it into the mixing bowl. Add in sugar and mix until incorporated. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt with a wire whisk. slowly add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined. The mixture will look stiff and crumbly, but that is okay.
Add in the walnut and chocolate chips and mix by hand or spatula. Transfer mixture into a 8 x 8 greased baking pan.
Flatten the dough and decorate with a Christmas sprinkle or make it into a Deer blondie.
Bake in a preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, no more, or no less, and remove from the oven. The dough will be soft, but let it continue cooking in the hot pan. Slice into 2 x 2 squares.
How to Decorate to Create Deer Blondie
Put the batter on the baking sheet and flatten it out to an equal level.
Break the small pretzel into two and push it to the batter. This will be the antler.
Push the googly eyes and the red M&M's.
Do the same to the rest of the batter and the decorations. Make sure there will be a half-inch distance between the decorations for easy cutting of the blondie.
You can also just simply add your favorite Christmas sprinkles into the batter before baking if you want a simple decoration
