Baked Salmon with Garlic and Cheese Toppings and My Mom is a Scrooge


  • 3 slices salmon
  • 1 whole bulb of garlic peeled and chopped ( divide into 3)
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter cut into small pieces ( 1 tbsp per salmon slice)
  • NOTE : You can replace this butter into Olive oil or you can just put 1/2 tablespoon of butter
  • 3/4 cups of Mild Cheddar Cheese 1/4 cup per salmon slice
  • black pepper to season
  • add a small amount of salt if desired when salmon is done for me, I do not add salt


  • Preheat oven at 375 F
  • Prepare 3 pieces of tin foil and place 1 salmon on top of each foil. Put the first set of chopped garlic, on the salmon, top with the cheese and butter. Season with 1 teaspoon of pepper. Repeat process on the rest of the salmon slice and seal the foil and arrange wrapped salmon in a baking pan.
  • Bake at a preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
