  • Electric mixer and bowl

Leavening Agent

  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup milk, warm

Additional Dry and Wet Ingredients For the Dough

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, white granulated
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk, warm
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened


  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar, white granulated


  • In a small bowl, add the 1 tablespoon active dry yeast, 2 tablespoons flour, and warm milk. Set aside.
  • Mix the dry ingredients: Mix the 1 ½ cup flour, salt. And form a well in the middle. Add the egg and mix using a spatula. Add  yeast mixture and transfer dough in the electric mixing bowl
  • Attach hook attachment of the electric mixer  and set speed to medium. Add the butter 1 tablespoon at a time.
  • Mix until dough is smooth. About 5 minutes.
    Transfer dough in an oiled bowl and cover. Let the  dough sit in a warm place for an hour.
  • Transfer dough into lightly  floured surface and foaming flatten dough and form a flat circle and  divide into 8 to 12 pieces.
  • Form dough into a ball and flatten using a rolling pin. Put the cheese on one edge and line the cheese.
  • Roll to form a small log.
  • Put oven rack at the middle of the oven an pre heat oven at 350 F.
  • Bake: Put dough in a baking pan and cover. Let sit for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven at 350 F and bake bread for 20 minutes.
    Brush bread with butter and sprinkle it with sugar.
