Instant Pot Sushi Rice

Instant Pot Sushi Rice. With tested Instant Pot sushi rice water ratio and Instant pot sushi rice cooking time. Perfect and fluffy every time.

  •  Instant Pot Duo Crisp 11-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker with Air Fryer Lid, 8 Quart. 


  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water

Sushi Rice Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Prepare the sushi rice Seasoning

  • Place the vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl and mix until the ingredients are dissolved.

Cook the Sushi Rice

  •  Place two cups of Sushi rice in the inner pot. Shake the pot a little to level the rice.
  • Add two and a half cups of water and shake the pot to level the rice.
  • Cover using the pressure cooker lid and make sure it’s sealed. Push the pressure cooker setting on high for seven minutes and turn the keep warm on. Push start. Cook Time: Cook the Sushi rice for 7 minutes on a High setting. And leave it in keep warm for ten minutes. Ensure that pressure is released before opening by flicking the steam release valve and pushing the steam release button. Transfer the sushi rice in a large bowl and season the rice while it's hot.
  • Let the rice slightly cool before putting it in the nori.
  • Cover the sushi rice with a damp cloth while you are making the sushi roll
