Easy Chicken Lollipops (air Fryer & Deep Fried)

Chicken Lollipops. Make your family event more exciting as an appetizer. Made only with simple, pantry staple ingredients, you can make this.

Equipment

  • 1 Instant Pot Duo Crisp
  • 1 pan for frying
  • 1 Oven for Baking
  • tongs

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Chicken Wing Sections

Spices

  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Coating:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 large egg

For Frying

  • 4-5 cups canola oil

Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons Low Fat Mayo
  • 1 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/8 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon water

How to Prepare Chicken Wings for Lollipops

  • Place the chicken drummette on a flat surface and cut around the tip of the bone to loosen the meat. When done, push the chicken meat to one end.
  • Place the chicken wingette on a flat surface and you will notice that there are two bones in it. There is smaller bone and bone and bigger bone. Cut around one edge and push the meat down to one end. Remove the smaller bone.
  • Pat the chicken prepare lollipop with a paper towel to dry. Mix the spices together. Let is sit in the fridge for thirty minutes.
  • When ready, dip each lollipop in the egg and roll it into the flour.

How to Cook by Frying

  •  Heat one cup of oil. Check the oil temperature by dipping a chopstick in the middle of the pan and when bubbles congregate around the chopsticks, the oil is ready. Deep Fry until golden brown.  Drain excess oil in the paper towel.

How to Cook in the Instant Pot Air Fryer

  • Follow instructions one to four.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick oil and line the chicken lollipops in the basket.
  • Push the air fry button and set the timer to 400 F and set the timer for 8-12 minutes. Turn the chicken as required.

How to Cook in the Oven

  •  Follow instructions one to four. Line the baking pan with tin foil and spray foil with nonstick oil. Preheat the oven to 390 F.  Bake lollipops for twenty to thirty minutes, or until cooked through.

Make the Sauce

  • Mix the ingredients and mix until there are no white streaks. Season according to your liking.

Notes

Please choose a chicken wing with thinner meat so that it will easily cook through. If you have the thick ones, make sure to make some cut on the meat so that it will cook through.
