Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: Filipino Cusine
Filling
- 16 oz Non-Fat Cream Cheese room temperature
- 2 tsp Onion Powder
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 3 stems Finely Chopped Green Onion
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Wash the Jalapeno and pat dry. Make a slit in the middle and remove the seeds using a spoon. I keep some seeds to keep the spiciness of the Jalapeno.
Add the cream cheese, onion, and garlic powder. Mix using a hand-electric mixer. Mix until smooth. Add the pepper and salt if needed. Mix in the chopped green onion.
Scoop one tablespoon of the mixture and fill the prepared Jalapeno. Wrap it with the Lumpia wrapper. Please see the video on how to wrap it. Brush the edge with water to seal. You can also use a toothpick to hold the wrapper together if the water doesn't work.
Heat two cups of canola oil. Test the temperature by putting a wooden chopstick in the middle of the pan. If the oil congregates to the chopstick the temperature is good enough.
Fry the Lumpia Dynamite until golden brown.Use a paper towel to drain excess oil.
