Easy General Tsos Recipe
This General Tso's Chicken is coated in a spicy and sweet sauce. It is easy to make and much better than takeout.

Servings: 4 people
- 1 1/2 lb Chicken Thigh or Chicken Breast
- 4 cloves Minced Garlic
- 1 Inch Chopped Ginger
- 4 Stalks Green Onion
- 4 pieces Dried Chilis
- 2 cups Canola Oil
Marinade
- 1 large Egg
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp White Granulated Sugar
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tbsp roasted Sesame Oil
General Tso Sauce
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
- 1/2 cup Water
- 2 tsp Cornstarch
Slice the chicken meat into bite-sized pieces. Transfer to a bowl and the marinade ingredients. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate the meat overnight.
Drain the marinade and roll the chicken meat into the cornstarch. Heat oil and deep fry the chicken until golden brown. Drain the excess oil on the paper towel.
In a bowl, mix the General Tso sauce ingredients. Mix until smooth.
Heat one-fourth cup of oil in a pan and saute' the garlic and onion. Add the green onion and the chilis. Add the sauce and stir until thick. Add the prepared chicken and let the sauce coat it. Serve while it is hot.
