Pasta Al Forno Sauce
Cook the bacon until brown. You can toss the grease or keep it. In my case, I toss some of it.
Melt the butter on low heat and saute the red onion. Cook the onion until transparent. Add the flour and mix using a spoon or spatula. Continue stirring until the flour turns into a paste. Add the whipping cream. Add the parmesan cheese. Stir until the parmesan cheese is melted.
Pour the Pasta Al Forno Sauce into the cooked Tortellini. Add cooked bacon and cheese. Top with extra cheese chopped parsley and bacon.
Preheat the oven to 350 F and bake the pasta until the cheese is melted.
How to Freeze Pasta Al Forno
- If you want to freeze this meal, cover the pasta with a plastic wrap, cover it with tin foil, and freeze. Simply thaw in the fridge overnight when you are about to cook it. Bake at 350 F preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted and the top is golden brown.
