- 1 cooking pan
- 1 Ladle
- 1 Small Baking Dish
- Tin foil
Ingredients
- 1/2 Lb Tortellini
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Cooked Bacon
- 1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter
- 11/2 Cup Heavy whipping Cream
- 1/4 Cup Flour
- 1/4 Cup Chopped Red Onion
- 11/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
Seasoning
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
Garnish
- Bacon,Parsley and Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
Prepare the Pasta
- Cook the Tortellini per box instructions. Drain the water when done and transfer to an oven-proof baking dish.
Pasta Al Forno Sauce
- Cook the bacon until brown. You can toss the grease or keep it. In my case, I toss some of it.
- Melt the butter on low heat and saute the red onion. Cook the onion until transparent. Add the flour and mix using a spoon or spatula. Continue stirring until the flour turns into a paste. Add the whipping cream. Add the parmesan cheese. Stir until the parmesan cheese is melted.
- Pour the Pasta Al Forno Sauce into the cooked Tortellini. Add cooked bacon and cheese. Top with extra cheese chopped parsley and bacon.
- Preheat the oven to 350 F and bake the pasta until the cheese is melted.
Notes
- If you want to freeze this meal, cover the pasta with a plastic wrap, cover it with tin foil, and freeze. Simply thaw in the fridge overnight when you are about to cook it. Bake at 350 F preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted and the top is golden brown.
