Frozen Breaded Shrimp in Air Fryer

Equipment

  • 1 8 quart Instant Pot Duo Crisps Plus Air Fryer Lid
  • steaming tray
  • Air Fryer Basket

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Jumbo Shrimps
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground white or black pepper
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

Tempura Batter Mix

  • 1 cup All Purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3 pieces ice cubes

Coating

  • 1/2 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • Tempura Batter Mix

Instructions

  • Devein and clean the shrimp and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder. Gently mix, making sure that the shrimp are seasoned well.
  • Put the flour into a large bowl and add the egg, water, and baking soda. Mix them and add the ice cubes. Mix the batter thoroughly until smooth.
  • Dip the shrimp into the batter and roll it into the bread crumbs. Gently push the crumbs to stick well into the shrimp.

How to Freeze-Prepared Shrimp

  • Line the shrimp on a baking sheet and freeze. Transfer frozen in a ziplock and freeze until subsequent use.

How to Cook in the Air Fryer (Store Bought or Homemade Shrimp)

  • Place the inner pot in the Instant Pot base.
  • Put the air fryer basket and put the steaming tray in place. Please see the notes for more links.
  • Spray the tray with nonstick spray and arrange the frozen breaded shrimp. Spray the shrimp with nonstick oil.
  • Cover with the air fryer lid and push the air fryer button setting. Set the temperature to five minutes.

How to Deep Fry

  • Heat two cups of oil and drop a small amount of bread crumbs in the oil, if it floats, deep fry the frozen shrimps until golden brown.
