Quick, easy, chewy delicious , decadent Food for the Gods. I am not sure why this Filipino dessert is called Food for the Gods, but one thing for sure, this Filipino dessert is heavenly. You have to control yourself to stop going for seconds or thirds. This right there is a bane of your diet, that is why in the Philippines, we only make it mostly during Christmas time to give away. But I do not usually follow rules, so I made it just because.
Food for the God is one of my favorite Filipino goodies. And if you are not a fan of dates you can now actually eat one because the dates will be coated with those chewy-ness and sweetness that you keep on coming back for more.
Also, since this goody is too easy to make, you don’t have to wait for Christmas time. Make this for your friends birthday. Wrap it with a colorful and you will surely make somebody smile. You can bring these Food for the Gods in any potluck party you plan.
