Hello, guys! We are going healthy today. We are steaming or, baking fish. Well, I think it will be heatlhier if you skipped butter in this, but ——
I THINK BUTTER IS A MUST HERE!!!
If there’s number struggle I have, it is to keep eating healthy. That’s why once in awhile, I cook healthy meals and I hope to stay consistent. But as you can see, I love food. That’s why I have food blog. And to be honest, our Filipino food is not that healthy. Mostly consist of deep frying. As you can see in this Lechon Kawali post so, just like the other post I have, I add butter in this, but you can be a party pooper and skip butter and replace it with roasted sesame oil. But for me,
For me, butter makes the world go round—- it makes anything really good.
SO TODAY, WE ARE STEAMING PAMPANO. Drench only with simple ingredients to emphasize the plumpness and sweetness of this amazing fish.
Drench it with salt, pepper.
Top it with onion and garlic.
Sprinkle it with lemon juice.
Decorate it with 3 or more slices of lemon and steam, steam, steam, OR BAKE, BAKE, BAKE ,BAKE.
You steam it for 45 minutes and bake it for 45 minutes too… OR, to make sure, check it if it’s cook through.
AND MARVEL THAT PICTURE ON THE TOP. The fish looks like a silver jewelry— it’s too shiny. It’s glaring with silver-y brightness. And it looks so delicious. You wanna poke your silver spoon on its meat.
And if looks can be deceiving, in this STEAM PAMPANO case, the picture told the truth…. this is juicy and soft fish meat. And the simple spice we added emphasize the sweetness and the freshness of the Pampano…
