Who loves creamy Velveeta cheese? I do! Love it so much that I often have it stocked in my fridge. I even eat it just but itself. But today, we are adding Velveeta cheese to this recipe. This Mac and cheese with Velveeta is my family’s favorite. Of course, I added 1/2 a pound of Velveeta cheese in it, to make it very creamy and really cheesy. This meal was just made easy using my Instant Pot Duo Crisp plus Air Fryer. What I love about this recipe is it does not call for fancy ingredients.

I have used my Instant Pot Duo Crisp plus Air Fryer so many times and the stove-top recipes I’ve made before are now being cooked in my Instant Pot. I love it – it cooks dinner so fast! Note that there are different models of Instant Pot, so your IP model may differ in settings and functions, so make sure to check the manual.
Ingredients for Instant pot mac and cheese with Velveeta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 3/4 cups water
- 1 tsp onion powder optional
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 2 cups elbow macaroni uncooked
1/2 lb (8 oz ) Velveeta Original
How do Make this Mac and Cheese in the Instant Pot
Place the inner pot in the stand and push the saute button. Set the temperature to HI and set the timer to 30 minutes.

Push the start button and wait for three minutes to increase the temperature of the pot. Add in the ground beef and cook until it turns brown in color. Add the ketchup and onion powder and mix to coat them with the ground beef. Add the water. Let the mixture sit for three more minutes and add the elbow macaroni.

Cancel the sautee button and put the pressure cooker lid on. Push the pressure cooker setting and push the temperature to HI/ Set the timer to ten minutes. Quick release to stop the cooking process.

Ingredients
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 3/4 cups water
- 1/2 lb Original Velveeta sliced into small pieces or cubed.
