Ingredients
- 2 lbs Yakisoba Noodle
- 400 grams shrimp cleaned and devien
- 1/4 cup red onion chopped
- 5 cloves garlic minced
- 8 oz mushroom sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 2 stems green onions sliced into one-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup Oyster sauce
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
Prepare the Noodles
- Boiled ten cups of water. Add the noodles and use a chopstick to separate the noodle strands. Remove the noodles immediately once separated. And use a strainer to drain the water. The noodles have been cooked, so there's no need to overcook them in the boiled water. The idea is to simply separate the noodles from each other.
Make the Shrimp Lo Mein Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix the oyster sauce, soy sauce, water, and cornstarch. Remove a tablespoon of the mixture and add this the shrimp marinadd and and marinate the shrimp in the fridge for thirty minutes. Set aside the remaining sauce for later.
Cook Shrimp Lo Mein
- Heat cooking oil and add in the shrimp. Cook until the shrimp changes its color. Transfer to a plate and set it aside.
- Using the same pan, saute the garlic and onion. Add the mushroom and cook for three minutes. Add the cabbage and carrot and cook for another three minutes.
- Add the Yakisoba noodle and add the prepared sauce and shrimp. Mix gently and remove from the pan immediately. Serve while it's hot.
