Instant Pot Bacon and Cheese Scones
It has been a habit for me to make meals, or meal prep on the weekend. It’s n0t because I want to, but it’s because I feel obligated to save money for our family. We have been budgeting for a while now because we want to pay off our mortgage early and save more for our retirement and travel more. Since I notice that food is the number one big expense in our household, I try to save in this area more. All the meals in this blog are budget-friendly and they are delicious too. Equipment
I want to emphasize each instant pot is different, and some settings may not be on the instant pot you got. In my case, I am using Instant Pot Duo Crisp 11-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker with Air Fryer Lid, 8 Quart. This Instant pot doesn’t have the rice setting, so I am using the pressure cooker setting.
Bacon and Cheese Scones Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter make sure the butter is cold and shred.
- 1/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 large egg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 Cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped Bacon
How to Make it
- Place the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. Mix using a wire whisk.
- Add in butter and using your hand, make sure that the flour mixture and butter are incorporated. It should look like sand.
- Mix the egg and the heavy whipping cream in a small bowl and add to the flour mixture. Mix until it forms into a dough. Pour the mixture on a flat surface. Add the cheese and knead to incorporate it into the dough.
- Flatten the dough forming a circle and flatten to one inch thick. Add the bacon and gently push it into the dough.
- Use a biscuit mold to form rounds.
- Cover the air fryer basket with round parchment paper and place the scone dough. Place the basket in the inner pot and cover using the air fryer lid.
- Push the bake button and set the temperature to 355 F and set the timer to twelve minutes.
How to Store
- Let the scones cool down and place them in a sealed container and let them sit at room temperature for a maximum of two days.
- If you want it to stay longer, you can also freeze these scones and let them thaw when you’re ready to eat them.

Ingredients

- 2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter make make sure the butter is cold and shred
- 1/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup cheese of your choice shredded
- 1/4 cup bacon chopped
Instructions
- Place the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. Mix using a wire whisk.
- Add in butter and using your hand, make sure that the flour mixture and butter are incorporated. It should look like sand.
- Mix the Heavy whipping cream and egg. Add mixture into the flour mixture and knead until it forms into a dough. Add in the cheese. Pour the mixture on a flat surface.
- Flatten the dough forming a circle and flatten to one inch thick. Add the bacon and gently push them into the dough. Use a biscuit mold to form rounds.
- Cover the air fryer basket with round parchment paper and place the scone dough. Place the basket in the inner pot and cover using the air fryer lid.
- Push the bake button and set the temperature to 355 F and set the timer to twelve minutes. Let cool in the rack for five minutes and very gently transfer in the cooling rack since this is a very crumbly scone.
