Instant Pot Miso Ramen Hack at home. Quick and easy with a high caliber taste, easy on your pocket and make you a “famous” mom to your family.
What is Instant Pot Miso Ramen
- I hope my Japanese friends or any Ramen experts will give me a pass on this. This recipe is simply a Miso Ramen made so easily. The broth consists of a mixture of the ramen sachet with Miso added to it. This is still really good, but not at all authentic. I had Miso ramen when I went Japan and I can attest that the original is better. But since I am here in the USA, trying to budget, this is the closest I can get.
Why You’ll love this recipe
- Cheap– if you are a fan of this guy, Dave Ramsey, this meal is Dave approved. A cheap and easy meal that won’t break the pocket.
- Quick and Easy– you can, of course, cook this stovetop, but it is quicker in the Instant Pot. Set the pressure to LO for zero minutes- that fast.
- Delicious– who doesn’t love ramen? When it comes to ramen, you can’t go wrong, but with the additional Miso, the taste and deliciousness are elevated up a notch.
- Not authentic but it can get close to the real one, made way cheaper and closest to home.
Miso ramen is a popular Japanese noodle soup dish with a flavorful broth from fermented soybean paste called miso. It typically includes toppings like sliced pork, green onions, seaweed, and other ingredients. While there isn’t a specific “Miso Ramen Hack” known in the culinary world, there are various ways to have a Miso ramen experience. Here are a few suggestions:
- Homemade broth: Consider making your miso broth from scratch- well, kind of. Mix the Miso seasoning in a small bowl, and add the ramen broth from the IP… there’s your homemade broth made so quickly.
- Marinated pork: Add any toppings you like! Add fishballs and homemade Instant Pot Chicken thigh on top. Whatever you like! YOu can eat it as it too.
- Add toppings: Experiment with additional toppings to enhance your miso ramen. Some popular options include soft-boiled eggs like this marinated egg., bamboo shoots, corn, bean sprouts, sesame seeds, or butter. These toppings can add texture and flavor to the dish.
- Seasoning adjustments: You can add some soy sauce, sesame oil, or chili paste to enhance the flavors you like. Remember to add these seasonings gradually to achieve the desired taste.
- Noodle choice: Choose the correct type of noodles for your miso ramen. The thickness and texture of the noodles can significantly impact the overall eating experience. Opt for noodles that have a good bite and can hold well in the broth. In this case, I use the pack of ramen from the grocery store.
- Garnish with fresh ingredients: Just before serving, garnish your miso ramen with finely chopped green onions or cilantro. These add a vibrant and refreshing touch to the dish.
Ingredients:
- Miso – this gives a saltier taste and a unique taste to the usual spice we get in the ramen.
- Ramen- you can use chicken-flavored ramen. But I used beef flavor in this post.
- Ramen Sachet- use the whole packet, or use half to make sure that the broth shall not turn out too salty. Add the rest when you want it more flavorful.
- Water- I used one and a half cups of water in this recipe. Adding more water makes it too soupy, which I don’t like. If you prefer to have more broth in this Miso Ramen, add a half cup of water.
- Sugar-the broth is not sweet, not you can taste the sugar in the broth. The sugar helps the combination of the spices in the broth stand out.
- Garlic-similar to ginger, the garlicky taste is not overpowering.
- Ginger- the ginger is not overpowering in this recipe, so you can’t taste ginger spice at all. The ginger melded in the broth very well. But if you want to taste the ginger. Add more of it if you want.
- Roasted sesame oil- you need to use roasted sesame oil in this recipe. This adds so much flavor to the broth. I use Roasted Sesame oil in my recipe and Asian cuisine uses it a lot, too. So I recommend investing in it, for your Asian meals. I use it in my post-Instant Pot Beef Ramen Bowl.
How do you this Instant Pot Miso Ramen Hack?

When you hear the beep, quickly release. Remove half a cup of the broth and add it into the bowl to mix the paste. Mix completely until there are no lumps. Add the remaining broth and add the noodles. Garnish with marinated egg and green onion.
Tips
- Quick release– this is one of that meals you cook in the Instant Pot where you really need to pay attention to that beep that tells you that the pressure cooking is done. The pressure cooking time is set to zero, so this is cooked quickly. Leaving the noodles in the Instant Pot can make it overcooked. So remove the noodles immediately and transfer them to the bowl.
- Eat immediately. don’t allow the noodles to sit in the broth continually. Doing this cooks the noodles more, making them mushy.
- Add your favorite garnish– make this meal yours by adding your favorite toppings.
Conclusion
Remember, the beauty of ramen lies in its versatility, and you can always customize it according to your personal preferences. Feel free to experiment with different ingredients, seasonings, and techniques to create your unique twist on miso ramen.
