Peanut Kisses Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Stand Up Mixer with Bowl or Hand Electric Mixer
- 1 Parchment Paper or Nonstick Baking Sheet Liner
- baking sheet
Ingredients
- 2 large Egg Whites
- 1/4 cup White Granulated Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Cream of Tartar
- 150 grams Toasted Peanuts non salted
- 2 tbsp Corn Starch
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 280 F. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick baking sheet liners
- Ground the peanuts. You can use electric grinder or place the peanut in a Ziploc and pound with rolling pin. Make sure that you don't ground the peanuts too much; you want to keep big chunk of peanuts. Add in the corn starch and coat the peanuts with it. Set it aside.
- Place the egg whites into a large bowl and mix the egg whites using a hand mixer or a stand-up mixer. Mix on medium speed for one minute until frothy. Add the cream of tartar and salt. Mix on high speed for two minutes and add the granulated sugar at three intervals. Mix for two minutes in every addition.
- Mix on high speed after adding the sugar and mix until soft peaks. Please watch the picture. You can check this by pulling the mixer whisk up and if it looks like the photo above, it is done.
- When done, add the ground peanuts. Add the peanuts slowly, gently mixing on each addition, making sure that the peanuts are incorporated to the egg whites. It is important to be gentle in mixing because you want to keep air bubbles of the meringue.
- Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe the meringue to form into kisses.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the kisses in the oven for two hours without opening.

How to Make Peanut Kisses
Making peanut kisses is very easy with these following instructions and detailed steps:
- Ground the Peanut- for this recipe, you need 150 grams of toasted peanuts. Place the peanut in a blender or grinder and ground it. Don’t grind it too much, you want to keep some large chunks of peanuts to be able to chew some peanut chunks in you peanut kisses. You then coat it with cornstarch to remove the moisture.
- Preheat the oven to 280 F– this is the perfect oven temperature I tried in order to hold the structure of your peanut kisses while they bake.
- Make the Meringue Mixture– this is the base of your Peanut Kisses. It consists of egg whites, sugar and cream of Tartar. Mix it from medium, to high until you achieve soft peaks. Once you achieve this, add the ground peanuts in three intervals. Make sure to be very gentle in mixing to keep the air bubbles.
- Transfer Mixture to a pastry bag– in order to make kisses look before baking, you need to use pastry bag to shape the kisses.
- Baking– as I mentioned, the peanut kisses need to bake at preheated oven at 280 F, and I bake it for 40 minutes. After forty minutes had passed, turn the oven off and leave the peanut kisses in the oven for two hours without opening the oven.
Ingredients for this Peanut Kisses Recipe
Who would have believe that you only need four ingredients to make Peanut Kisses. And its ingredients are very accessible in the stores too. Here in the USA, our stores carry ready toasted peanuts, so that made it easy for me. If your store, don’t have this, you can toast your peanuts yourself.
- Egg whites
- White Granulated Sugar
- Cream of Tartar
- Roasted Unsalted Peanuts
Equipment Needed:
- Nonstick baking pan liner– line your baking sheet with nonstick liner. If you don’t have it, you can use parchment paper
- Electric Mixer– You need this in order to mix the egg whites. Although you can use wire whisk to manually form soft peaks; your shoulder will hurt after which; so, I highly recommend using an electric mixer.
- Spatula
Enjoy it!
I hope you will this recipe and share it with others. This is why I am blogging- to share these little joys which only food can create.
