Fried Rice Cooked in the Rice Cooker
Rice Cooker Fried Rice Hack. No mess, easy recipe for rice. I got the idea from a Facebook group and I thought it was weird that’s it’s called “fried rice” when it is not really.
This will be an abomination to Asian, but I thought it’s something interesting and worthy to be posted here. We will call this fried rice, the gal who posted it called it as such.

Fried Rice Cooked in the Rice Cooker
Equipment
- 1 mini rice cooker
Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice any brand
- 2 cups water
- 1 can Vienna Sausage 4 oz, chopped
- 1 tablespoon roasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 stem green onion chop
Instructions
- Place rice in the rice cooker and add in water. Add the sausage, oil, soy sauce frozen peas and carrots. Cover the rice cooker pot and turn the rice cooker on.
- When the rice is cook, add in the egg and let it sit in warm setting for five to ten minutes before mixing.
- Mix the rice and add more soy sauce if you like.
- Serve and garnish with green onion.
