HOMEMADE CHICKEN GYROS – this is an easy way to make gyros and yogurt sauce at home. The chicken was marinated in chosen seasoning. So good!
HOMEMADE CHICKEN GYROS
It has been a while since I had Chicken Gyros. Eleven years to be exact. I had it when I went to Estes Park in Colorado. It was actually the first time I tasted Greek food: Tzatziki Sauce and Gyros. It was love at first bite.
Recently, my workplace treated us to the most awesome gyros. And it brought back those staggering feelings of my first gyros bite, so I replicated it at home.
Guys, these Chicken gyros taste so good. It’s easy to make at home too. This can be in your menu rotation.
So what makes the Perfect Chicken Gyros when you make it at home?
I think it is on the chicken marinade. the tzatziki sauce and the bread. These are the big catalyst of gyro yumminess. Sure, you can add the extras like your favorite vegetables: tomatoes, onion, and dills as a garnish but you have to have the right marinade coating the chicken tenders, just the ample tang of the sauce and soft bread to bed them.
HOMEMADE CHICKEN GYROS MARINADE AND SEASONING:
You can find a thousand gyro marinade recipes on the internet, but I use this gyro marinade below since this recipe has been tried so many times and the family loves it. Besides, the ingredients are pantry staples, so I can save money at the same time.

You can use any flatbread brand you can find in the store. I just buy whatever is on sale, and available. You can use this flatbread I made. It’s thinner and less carb. Click here for Homemade Flat Bread.
