When I went to Washington, I bought a Filipino Brand hotdog and purchased a lot that I did not know what to do with them. So when I was checking my fridge for my family’s weekend snack and had the crescent rolls, too, I made these Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket.
I did not know what to call them until my son told me what it was.
Although my children eat Filipino meals, I sometimes serve them American food like Mac and Cheese, and I mainly make American food when their friends come to visit. Although unplanned, one of my son’s friends showed up when I wan making this, so he has them. I made my sauce for it too.

I want to emphasize each instant pot is different, and some settings may not be on the instant pot you got. In my case, I am using Instant Pot Duo Crisp 11-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker with Air Fryer Lid, 8 Quart. This Instant pot doesn’t have the rice setting, so I am using the pressure cooker setting.
Ingredients
- Eight pieces of tiny hotdog
- One tube of crescent rolls
- Ketchup
- Mayo
- Mustard
How do you cook Pigs in a Blanket?
Step one: Place crescent rolls on a flat surface and cut them into strips using a pizza cutter.
Step two: Gently remove and wrap it around the hotdogs.
Step three: Place a round ramekin or can in the middle of the pan and line the hotdog on the sides.
Step four: Place the pan in the air fryer rack and put it in the base. Cover the Instant pot with the Air Fryer lid and push the Bake Setting. Bake at 350 F for eight minutes.
How long does it take to cook them in the Air Fryer?
Before I had my Instant Pot Duo Crisp, cooking took too long. Now that I have it, cooking is now too easy. This Pigs in a blanket took me eight minutes to cook. If I had used a conventional oven, it would have taken thirty minutes to cook them.

In my experience, cooking food in my Instant Pot Duo made cooking quick, and it is easy to clean too. Oftentimes, there’s not a lot of mess as well.

- 6 inch round pan
- 1 small ramekin or can
Ingredients
- 8 pieces mini hotdogs
- 1 tube crescent rolls
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mayo
- 1/2 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix all of the sauce ingredients until incorporated. Set aside.
