Instant pot flan is made easy when cooked in the Instant Pot. This is a simple flan recipe with detailed ingredients and a video for sure success. Sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and egg yolks were mixed together to make this creamy flan. This is done in twenty-seven minutes.
Instant Pot Flan
I get a kick telling my American colleagues about Filipino foods and how I make them. They are interested about it and they asked me to bring some Filipino food. This flan is the first one I bought to work and they loved it. For sure our dessert and savory dishes taste different from the usual Macaroni and cheese, but after trying this flan, they’ve became a fan.
Since I have become confident using my Instant Pot Duo Crisp Plus Air fryer, I am trying to cook Asian meals using it. Just like this and this Korean Cream Cheese Garlic bread and Banh Bao.
This tasty flan may look difficult to make, but this has become too easy and quick when you pressure cook it. A baking dish is fine when you steam it in but in this case, since I have the 8-quart Instant Pot, I used the six-inch round baking pan. You can use individual ramekins here and simply increase the steaming time.
Some of you may think that making this is hard, but it really is easy. Simply mix all of the ingredients and steaming is all it takes.

Note that I am using my 8 Qt Instant Pot Duo Crips Plus Air Fryer Lid in this recipe. Every model is different, so make sure that you check your manual for instructions.
Ingredients:
- Evaporated Milk
- Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Egg yolks
- Granulated sugar
How to Make Flan in the Instant Pot
Step one: Caramelize the bottom pan. Place the granulated sugar in the pan and turn on your burner to low heat. Distribute the granulated sugar at the bottom by turning the pan on top of the fire. Use a tong to do this, as the pan can get really hot.
Step two: Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Make sure, or try not to stain the egg yolks with whites. Keep the white in the container and put it in the fridge for the next use. You can also freeze the egg whites and you can make this Meringue Cookie Mix the evaporated milk, condensed milk, and egg in a medium-sized bowl. When the mixture is mixed thoroughly, pour the mixture into the prepared mold.
Step three: Place the inner pot into the base and add two cups of water. Put the air fryer basket and put the broiling tray in the middle. Cover IP with the pressure cooker lid and push the Steam button. Set the timer to twenty-seven minutes.
Quick release when done. Check if Leche flan is ready by using the toothpick test. If there are some ingredients stuck to the toothpick, add steaming time for three more minutes. Let the Leche Flan cool down and place it in the fridge overnight.
Step four: When ready to serve, scrape the sides with a knife and put a plate on top of the pan. Flip the pan and slowly remove the pan.

- 1 six inch round pan
- 1 strainer
- 1 wire whisk
Ingredients
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 5 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Instructions
- Step one: Caramelize the sugar. Place the granulated sugar in the six-inch round pan and turn on your burner to low heat. Distribute the granulated sugar at the bottom by turning the pan on top of the fire, continue doing this process until the sugar is melted and caramelized. Use a tong to do this, as the pan can get really hot.Let the caramelized sugar cool down for one hour.
